Fiscal Responsibility
Never leave money on the table.
As a Representative at the Federal level, fiscal responsibility is one of the most important jobs. This is YOUR money and the government needs to spend it wisely and with your input. That is why it is important to me to speak with as many of you as possible, both as I run for office and if I am honored enough to serve you, while I am in D.C.
One very important piece of fiscal responsibility is not leaving money made available for us for others to use when we have needs of our own in SWMO. This IS what is happening with your current “representation”. Also, our current representative has voted to:
Close down the government rather than work on a bill to keep it going (he was one of very few)
Voted down the bill to condemn Putin's kidnapping of Ukrainian Children (it passed, thankfully, without his vote)
Furthermore, he has spent time supporting bills to specifically protect a former president, protect The Refrigerator Freedom Act, attack Merrick Garland but not ONE proposal or earmark went to IMPROVING THE LIVES OF MISSOURIANS IN DISTRICT 7 which is WHY SWMO sent him to Washington.
I want you to know that I see needs for infrastructure money, support for small businesses, and economic development for the entire district. There is MONEY ON THE TABLE in Congress to earmark for these ventures in SWMO. I do not want to leave that money on the table, I want our small towns and businesses to not only survive, but to THRIVE. The President does not determine how that happens in Missouri, Congress does. I will support YOU by focusing attention right here in SWMO.
Also, I SHOW UP for votes. One vote Eric Burlison SKIPPED? "Expressing support for democracy in Pakistan." 368 Representatives voted for this bill and Burlison did not even vote on it. This is exactly what our current Missouri delegation is doing: They will not even say they "support democracy." I can. I support democracy. I will also defend our constitution. I always have and always will.
If we are going to spend money (your tax dollars plus federal funding) responsibly, then I need to first get the money appropriated to spend. Eric Burlison has not done his job for you.
